Nature & wilderness holidays on the beautiful isle of Jura, Scotland
wilderness holidays
Family holidays are generally available in late July, August and early September. These are full board and include a Scottish breakfast, picnic lunch, tea and three course dinner (drink not included).
Two experienced Highlanders will be at your disposal to take you out by boat on the sea loch (Loch Tarbert) and weather permitting, on trips out to sea to explore the coast, fish for mackerel and swim from the beaches.
There is excellent brown trout fishing on 25 remote and unspoilt lochs, reached by boat and then hill machines or on foot. You can stalk the wild goats on the West Coast and in late August and early September go for a stag.
This is an ideal family holiday to introduce children to the adventure and wildness of the Scottish Highlands and taste a few of the sporting opportunities.
For younger children there is an ideal beach close to the lodge (which sleeps up to 12 with 6 double rooms and a single).
