The Blue Marlin

As part of the wilderness/gourmet holidays we are offering our guests a day out on our boat, The Blue Marlin.

The boat is moored nearby on Loch Tarbert, the sea loch which intersects the Island halfway. Craig Rozga, our head stalker, will be your skipper and will pick you up from the house. The trip will take you eight miles down the sea loch with wonderful views on both sides.

If weather permits you can go further up the remote west coast and land at Sian Bay, a lovely white sandy beach. Swimming and barbecuing are popular here on a good day.  From there you can walk back along the coast (2 hours) to the Bothy at Ruantallain, where Craig will pick you up.

Alternatively in the summer months you can fish for mackerel or have a go at fly fishing for brown trout in one of the numerous lochs.

Craig, your guide, is an experienced naturalist and will be able to point out the numerous herds of deer, wild goats and seals which populate the west coast and its shores. You may even see a golden eagle!
